Our goal? To design a website that mirrors the brand’s luxurious and minimalist ethos while driving measurable business results. Post-launch, we equipped Hada Labo with performance data charts to track the website’s success effectively.

DESIGN APPROACH

We began with a kickoff session, including a conversation and mini-workshop, to uncover Hada Labo Japan's brand values and visual direction. These insights informed our design approach as we skipped wireframes to meet the project's tight timeline and moved straight into designing the key pages.

The design process focused on aligning firmly with the brand's guidelines. We worked closely with Hada Labo’s designers to incorporate high-quality creative assets, ensuring a cohesive and visually appealing outcome. Each page was crafted to reflect the brand's appeal while effectively showcasing products, with special emphasis on best sellers supported by Hada Labo's own research.

To drive conversions, we made the calls-to-action—buttons leading to retailers—prominent and well-placed within the user journey. Additionally, we structured FAQ sections to improve the website’s usability and support SEO efforts.

  • Crafted user journeys with clear pathways, ensuring calls-to-action, such as buttons leading to retailers, were prominently placed at key decision-making points for maximum impact.
  • Designed the FAQ sections not only to address user concerns but also to improve organic search visibility and drive traffic through SEO optimisation.

DEVELOPMENT APPROACH

The website was built on Webflow for an efficient development process while maintaining flexibility for future updates. Key aspects of the development approach included:

  • We leveraged Webflow’s features for a visually stunning yet functional site, ensuring mobile responsiveness and optimised performance.
  • Incorporated smooth transitions and interactive components to enhance user engagement without compromising page speed.
  • Set up GA4 with custom event tracking for deeper insights into user behaviour and to support ongoing performance evaluation.
  • Developed reusable modules which could be used to quickly make additions, updates and maintain consistency, and support scalability as the website evolves.

We provided a detailed documented walkthrough to empower the client to independently update and manage the website with videos.
